Alberto Luis Perez Gomez, 22 years old, born in San Fernando (Cadiz). He is nowadays finishing the Degree in Biotechnology at Cadiz University.
 

 

-When you were a child, what did you want to be as an adult?
A bus driver.
-What do you like the most about your job?
Investing my time in something I like and having the opportunity of being in a constant training to evolve.
-What are your future challenges?
Going into detail about knowledge areas such as Genetic Engineering and Molecular Biology and improving my English and French levels.
-Your favourite dish
Cannellone stuffed with tuna.
-A place
Pamukkale (Turquía).

Swimming, cooking, reading, listening to music and enjoying with my family and friends.

-How do you imagine the world in 20 years?
A world with a more conscious and responsible society with its environment, in which Science will walk always hand in hand with progress and nature.

Alberto has been working at Bionaturis as a laboratory technician since July, 2015.

Arantza Muriana Miralles, 39 years old, born in San Sebastian. Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences by Navarra University, Master in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and MBA.
 

 

-When you were a child, what did you want to be as an adult?
A teacher, a researcher, a doctor… depending on the age I was.
-What do you like the most about your job?
A lot of things: the contact with people from different origins and cultures, the possibility of travelling to very varied places, knowing that with our work we are contributing to have safer and more efficient medicines…
-What are your future challenges?
To access into the cosmetic industry and personal care products, which must be also safe products although we aren’t so conscious of that. And to consolidate our company in both agrochemical and petrochemical markets.
-Your favourite dish
Scrambled eggs with recently harvested mushrooms.
-A place
Everyone near the sea, such as El Peine de los Vientos in San Sebastian, or La Barra in Orio.
-A film

Going to the mountains or to the beach to have a walk with my familiy and my pet, reading, watching films…

With a lot of technological progress that will improve our quality of life, but I hope they won’t reduce our humanity.

Elena de la Torre Madrid, 34 years old, born in Madrid. PhD in Biochemistry at Universidad Autónoma and Master in Biotechnology Management.
 

-When you were a child, what did you want to be as an adult?
A doctor.
-What do you like the most about your job?
Being part of something that has effect in society, knowing that we can improve something.
-What are your future challenges?
Keep on training in order to overcome my weeknesses.
-Your favourite dish
Paella (cooked by my father).

Paris.

Reading, cooking, walking, watching series…
-A proposal to get rid of the crisis
Reducing unnecessary expenses of public administrations: advisors, official cars and trips, controlling politicians´incomes, etc.., while investing more and more in R&D instead.
-How do you imagine the world in 20 years?
I can imagine it worse and worse. Social demands are making us more independents, selfish and leisure-seekers. I´ll do my best to change it at least as far as I could.

  Elena has been working as Project Manager at Bionaturis since April 2014.
