I have always loved everything related to music so I wanted to be a music teacher.
-What do you like the most about your job?
Learning and finding out new things every day.

Carrying on learning and progressing in order to work as a researcher.

Biobide (Bionaturis Group) has recently participated in a drug discovery research against malaria, a disease that causes about 440,000 deaths each year worldwide. Nuria Martinez Mas, born in Manresa, PhD at Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry by Ramon Llull University in Barcelona.
 

 

 

-When you were a child, what did you want to be as an adult?
A doctor, but seeing blood, although it is not mine, makes me feel very nervous. Because of that I had to change my calling!
-What do you like the most about your job?
It lets me learn something new every day.
-What are your future challenges?
I would like to know more about patents. It is a very complex field and it is not my proposal becoming an expert but I think that in my current position I need more knowledge because it can influence in the commercial strategy of the company and therefore in the projects we are working on.
-Your favourite dish
I prefer simple dishes. I enjoy a lot with bread, tomato and a good iberian ham.

The National Park of Aigüestortes, in the Pyrenees.

Alberto Luis Perez Gomez, 22 years old, born in San Fernando (Cadiz). He is nowadays finishing the Degree in Biotechnology at Cadiz University.
 

 

-When you were a child, what did you want to be as an adult?
A bus driver.
-What do you like the most about your job?
Investing my time in something I like and having the opportunity of being in a constant training to evolve.
-What are your future challenges?
Going into detail about knowledge areas such as Genetic Engineering and Molecular Biology and improving my English and French levels.
-Your favourite dish
Cannellone stuffed with tuna.

Pamukkale (Turquía).

A world with a more conscious and responsible society with its environment, in which Science will walk always hand in hand with progress and nature.

Maria Virginia Caballero, born in Granada. PhD at Sciences by Universidad Complutense in Madrid.
 

 

 

-When you were a child, what did you want to be as an adult?
A doctor or a scientist. Although the streak of hairdresser was there, I have always had scientific inquisitiveness and, finally, the Science won.
-What do you like the most about your job?
Being able to find something that could help our society in some way.
-What are your future challenges?
There is no harm in asking… I would love to run a company.
-Your favourite dish
It depends on the day. If we talk about Spanish dishes, black rice; Japanese, Sushi; Italian, Parmigiana… I love eating and it is very difficult to choose only one.
-A place
The sightseeing of La Alhambra from San Cristobal.
-A film
‘The Passion of The Chirst’. It was very impressive for me.
-A historical figure
Mariana Pineda, a very strong and brave woman.

As many things as I can: practising sports, painting, walking, singing… I love arts, in general.

Music. I always go to bed listening to music and the fist thing I do every morning is switching the music on.

Better, undoubtedly.

Laura Romero, 23 years old, born in Ferrol (A Coruña). She is studying Administration and Business Management at Santiago de Compostela University.
 

-When you were a child, what did you want to be as an adult?
Too many things: a dancer, actress, policewoman, entrepreneur…
-What do you like the most about your job?
At this moment, what I like most is realising that I didn’t make a mistake choosing my degree.
-What are your future challenges?
Getting a job in which I will be able to demonstrate what I am passionate about and let me improve myself every day.
-Your favourite dish
Bread with salmorejo and smoked cod is my favourite one, although, unfortunately, I like all kind of food!

It would be a bit messy, I imagine a crazier world than now but I hope my own world will be more stable and with some of my dreams already fulfilled.

Andoni Cruz, 44 years old, born in Bilbao. Degree in Sciences and Master in Applied Biology.
 

-When you were a child, what did you want to be as an adult?
Since I was a very young I liked swimming and scuba-diving so I always wanted to be a Marine Biologist.
-What do you like the most about your job?
Being able to create something new from scratch, the generation of innovative projects that may contribute to improve our society.
-What are your future challenges?
The main goal is to turn Biobide into the global company of reference for essays with zebrafish. To achieve that, we must consolidate our expansion strategy in the USA and China and complete our landing at LATAM and Japan.
-Your favourite dish
A large steak.
-A place
‘The Lighthouse’, an ideal place to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Cantabrian Sea.

I love cinema. If I have to choose one film, I will probably select ‘The Godfather’.

90% of all cars will be electric, alternative fuels provide energy to the world, precision medicine has not found a cure for cancer but has found effective means to manage many cancers, I am still working in and learning about science (and loving it!), BioNaturis is a large multinational AH company with >10,000 employees.
